Billi Tees is proud as punch to be sponsoring 3 kiwis in their quest to take on the world... well 1/3 of it to be precise. They are in for one BIG adventure, in one SMALL car in what's called... The Mongol Rally...For up to the minute updates, head to Team Good Bye Pork Pie's website. They are doing text updates along the way! The Billi Tees Official Supporters tees are now on sale!Click here for MENS tees // Click here for WOMENS teesWhat is the Mongol Rally? The world is just a little bit too safe. Gone are the days where the edge of the map called you forth to discover what lay beyond - satellite maps and GPS have it laid out before you leave the armchair. Our remedy is a rally which starts from Goodwood racetrack in England and winds it’s way to the Mongolian capital, UlaanBaatar... Approximately five weeks and a big adventure later (23 countries, 2 continents, around 60 tanks of gas, about 18 - 20,000 kms (and that's if we don't get lost!), from sea level to the 2nd highest highway in the world (over 4,600m), temperatures from -10˚C to +45˚C) and what you have is the Mongol Rally! Check out the Mongol Rally website for the full low down of the rally... What's more, become a Billi Tees Facebook fan and we will keep you posted to all their adventures! Team Good Bye Pork Pie also have a Facebook page too, so check 'em out! A great adventure, for a good causeThe Mongol Rally isn't just about adventure, it's also about raising
huge sacks of cash for some great charities. In 2007 the Mongol Rally
topped £200,000 and we hope to smash that this year. Why the name – Good Bye Pork PieThe trio have taken the classic 80's kiwi movie as our inspiration
for the Mongol Rally. The movie starts in the north of NZ where Gerry
Austin, a 19 year-old houligan stumbles across an opportunity (in the
form of a lost wallet), a friend (John) and an adventure. They start to
head to Invercargill at the south of NZ in a stolen Yellow Mini, pick
up hitch-hiker, Shirl and have a mad-cap roadtrip adventure ending in
their beloved Yellow Mini arriving without doors, in flames and
backwards at the final destination. What car are they taking? As much as they would love to take a yellow mini and do the rally in
true Good Bye Pork Pie style... there are some rules set out by the
rally organisers. And the crew... who are these adventure seeking folk?
